Cheap Flights from Chicago to EuropeThe Chicago O'Hare International Airport was officially opened to commercial flights in 1955. In the first year it saw over 175,000 passengers. Today it is the third busiest in the world, handling over 60 million passengers annually. O'Hare has a total of seven runways, 182 gates, nine concourses and four terminals: 1, 2, 3 and 5. It serves as a hub for American Airlines as well as United Airlines. Chicago O'Hare is currently undergoing a modernization plan (OMP) which will result in a decrease in delayed flights and an improvement in operational efficiency.
