Nannies in the Clouds keep kids entertained on long flights

Next time parents book long flights to France for a family vacation, they don't have to worry about how many times their little kids want to walk up and down the aisles. Nanny in the Clouds, a new online company started by a caring mom, matches parents with a passenger on their flight who has experience caring for children. According to MSN Today, no matches for in-flight sitters have been made yet, but parents' reactions to the service are mainly positive.

According to travel comfort specialist Anya Clowers, airplane travel "takes the whole family out of their routine" by adding anxiety, excitement and sleep deprivation.

"If the timing and the match were correct, and parents remain in control by using the nanny mostly as an assistant to help, this may be a blessing," she said.

Some parents see the value in planning a preliminary session with the potential babysitter beforehand, as a way to avoid any uncomfortable situations or child temper tantrums. Clowers  suggests that interested parents schedule a photo or Skype session before traveling so both the nanny and children are familiar with each other before boarding the plane.

Now, what used to feel like never-ending flights to Paris with the kids can be a more relaxing experience for the whole family with this breakthrough flying nanny service.
