Opened in March 2001, the Athens Airport was voted as the European Airport of the year in 2004 by International Air Transport Association (IATA). It serves the city of Athens and the region of Attica. The airport is the major hub of Aegean Airlines as well as Greece's state owned airline, Olympic Airlines.

Money: The main terminal has banks, ATMs, bureau de change and automatic exchange machines.
Eating and Drinking: Bars and restaurants are located in the main Terminal. Olive Tree Café, McDonalds, Grigoris for Greek are a few that are listed. There are also coffee shops such as Kafenio and Acafe.
Disabled Facilities: The airport terminal offers many disabled facilities including adapted walkways, disabled toilets, electric cars and wheelchairs, and dedicated check-in counters.
Business Facilities: PCs, Internet access, fax machines, printers, scanners and office supplies are all available in the business center.
Other services: First Aid, baby changing facilities and a pharmacy is in the Athens Airport.
