Cairo Airport (CAI)

Airport Overview:

The Cairo International Airport is located northeast of Cairo and serves as the primary hub for EgyptAir and Star Alliance Airlines. It is the busiest airport in Egypt and the second busiest in Africa. In 2008, the Cairo Airport handled over 14 million passengers. 

Transportation:

Taxis are parked outside the Arrivals Hall.

A shuttle bus service connects the airport with central Cairo.

The Iberotel and Casino Hotel is approximately a 5 minute ride to the Cairo Airport. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.

Eating and Drinking: There are a number of restaurants and snack bars in the Cairo Airport. Bars are located in the Departures Halls.

Money: A number of ATMs are located in the airport. There is a bank and 24 hour bureau de change as well.

Other Services: A 24 hour post office is in the airport and a business center in Terminal 1.
