The annual Madeira Carnival is a great event for the whole family to attend. The carnival includes street performers, singing, dancing, plenty of great food and a great parade featuring elaborate floats. Expect the unexpected at this carnival as nothing is out of place here, including costumes!

Lisbon Boat and Sports Show is a unique event as it comprehensively covers both topics, from extravagant boats and yachts to every sport you can think of, all under one roof. One side of the expo center is dedicated to all things boating while the other is reserved for any other type of sport, from motocross to diving to weightlifting. Sports lovers of all kinds will be at home during this show.

This nationally recognized holiday is celebrated throughout Portugal and features some great celebrations in select cities. The holiday is to celebrate the Carnation Revolution, which brought a peaceful end to 48 years of Fascist rule. During this holiday numerous stores and businesses close to celebrate, and celebrate they do! Huge celebrations are organized throughout the country, each more extravagant than the next.

This year Porto is home of one of the legs of the Red Bull Air Race World Series. This amazing stunt-flying competition pits pilots against each other at over 400 km/h through low level inflatable air gates. Thousands of spectators gather to see these death defying stunts take place. You don't want to miss this.
