While not the largest wine tasting event in Greece, the Dionysia Wine Tasting Event is one that shouldn’t be missed. Featuring over 100 Greek wine producers alone, not counting all the international vintners that get invited to the event. Thousands of people attend each year and for good reason: some of the best wines you will ever taste are in abundance here and all available to taste!

Entertainment runs from street performers, Greek dancing, mandolin music and plenty of fresh, delicious food. The best part of the city to experience the carnival is in Central Square. Greek Independence Day & the Feast of the Annunciation

A dual holiday throughout Greece, the 25th of March marks both Greece’s independence from the Ottoman Empire as well as the day of Angel Gabriel’s announcement to the Virgin Mary of her conception of Christ. The day is celebrated throughout Greece with parades, military marches and church celebrations in addition to all the food and beverages to accompany such festivities.

Also known as the Opening Nights Festival is a non-competitive international festival with an emphasis on lower-budget independent productions and American indie cinema. The Audience picks the winner which grants them advertising funding for a Greek distributor.
